I used to update frequently but now I'm in a Zen like 'screw it' phase. I guess there's only so much anger one can express before that anger begins to define one's self. Sure, I hate Bush and his cohort of crooks with a passion, but I've tried saying it over and over again in many different ways and the smug pricks just don't go away. Too much negativity is what they thrive on anyway and there is never so much negativity as in a polarized society. How does it help us if one half of this country just goes on hating the other half because of the moral minority mafiosi squatting the White House? It doesn't. It helps Bush.

Two crappy elections have shown us the power of hate. Two crappy elections have made me wonder if PCP can really be so bad. I wondered FYI (that's "Fuck You, Inbreds" for the Heartland) how, for example, you could vote for a prez who could choke on a freakin' pretzel? A pretzel is a harmless, salty treat (like my schlong) and should not be considered dangerous. Yet you vote for him again? The great crusader for Christendoom with his finger on the "End The World Now" button menaced by snack food??? Jeez...

But now is the time to move on. Please buy "Start Making Sense" if you haven't. And please stop watching TV news (it can seep subliminally like wet rot even if you just watch it out of irony). Please form an opposition to Jeezuz Land! Let's move on to a constructive future where we are all just people who give a shit. Let's build bridges (even to the Hummer drivers and evangelical rimjobs out there) because we all have to share this place. Unfortunately.

SOME SPEECH IS FREER THAN OTHERS

Today I stumbled across RenewAmerica.us while trawling Google for things to make me madder. If you haven't visited this internet atrocity, just picture an anti-MoveOn.org stripped of all veracity, intelligence and reason. It's a fake grassroots conservative organ that reads like something dreamed up by Goebbels during a bad schnapps hangover. And, like all other Neo-cunt sites, Renew America claims to be democratic, free and dedicated to the American ideal. Bunch of crap. Just try registering with them and writing anything vaguely 'liberal' on their discussion board (like I did) and you will be persona non grata faster than Pee Wee Herman at a Boy Scout camp out.

Obviously, I shouldn't have joined the Renew America discussion board with hopes of rousing much support for my thesis that Arabs are actually human, as I did today, but neither should I have expected to be barred from logging on and have my entry deleted within seven minutes of posting. Damn! As someone who emphatically believes in the prerogative of everyone (retards and Republicans included) to say whatever the hell they like, I was seriously offended. Touting freedom of speech whilst actively prohibiting it sucks major ass. And, yes, it is a right v. left issue because most 'Liberal' discussion boards have no compulsory registration, no vetting and no censorship. But to join in with the conservative fat-chewing, you usually have to register, undergo a mini approval process, and also expect to have your access privileges instantaneously blocked if you write one syllable to chap their sensitive hides. This seems to be the general rule with the right wing sites and it's both cynical and pathetic. Is their lie-based power strategy really so fragile that it can't take the pressure of a few dissenting voices? Let's hope to God it really is...

But let's get back to Renew America - the freak show public window into Alan Keyes' personal dementia. Remember Keyes? He made a no-hope bid for the presidency in 2000 in what can only be assumed to have been a GOP tactic to make Bush look rational by comparison. He's also the black 'all homos are hellbound' 'conservative pundit' who suffered the poetic justice of having his daughter publicly announce her lesbianism last year (how we laughed...). At Renew America we can find Alan's favorite 'news' items and blustering bullshit that even the Bush/Murdoch media wouldn't touch.

Gems like "Autopsy suggests Terri Schiavo cognizant" (present tense challenged oxymoron?) or "Evolution: science or atheism in disguise?" ruthlessly assail common sense from every direction. The inference for the knuckle draggers, I guess, is that these stories are ignored because of Rupert Murdoch's huge liberal bias, Fox News' blatantly left-wing agenda and Sinclair Broadcasting's rampant Socialistic tendencies. It couldn't possibly be because they represent a level of spastic bullshit that would stretch the gullibility of a National Enquirer reading Mormon.

While I truly pity Alan Keyes (he clearly manifests some kind of clinical condition), I have nothing but revulsion for the 'éminence grises' who finance and administer this brand of nutjob propaganda.

Who are the guys running the Renew America/Alan Keyes juggernaut/train wreck anyway?

1. Alan Keyes speaks (note oddly gay sounding banner). 2. In the 2000 race for Republican candidacy, Bush ran on the 'Fuck You' message while Keyes' 1996 message was a stupendously lame visual pun. 3. Maya Marcel-Keyes said her parents "have thrown her out of the house, stopped speaking to her and refuse to pay for college because she is gay."
